In the northern region of Italy, Allegrini is the largest producer of wine. It has been harvested here since the time of ancient Rome. The special varieties of grapes with zucchini contain a minimum percentage of sugar. The harvest yields a sweet dessert wine. The beverage is aged not in oak barrels but in tanks made of cement and covered with glass. The wines have a well-balanced taste and a pleasant aroma. They are ideal both when they are "young" and after 5-10 years of aging.
