To make Tavinko wine, the grapes are harvested early and then pressed and fermented in large tanks or barrels using either wild or commercial yeasts. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for several months to enhance its flavor and complexity.
Tavinko wine has a refreshing taste with notes of citrus, green apple, and pear, and a pronounced mineral character. It pairs well with seafood, salads, light pasta dishes, as well as spicy Indian and Thai cuisine. It is best served chilled between 8-10°C.
