Georgian semi-sweet Saperavi wine is made from an ancient variety that gives the alcohol its rich red color. If you pour it into a glass, you can see the cherry shimmer. In the taste, ripe blackcurrants and prunes come through brightly. This wine smells of blackberry, black currant, fruit and plum. Saperavi is made according to the Kakhetian and European technologies. The must can be aged in a quiver or in stainless steel vats. The first variant is preferable as it gives the wine an intense flavor and rich aroma. Semi-sweet wines can have a strength of 10-12%. They are more velvety, moderately sweet and aromatic. Berry flavors are predominant.
